How do I get CCB or one of its ensembles to play at my venue?
All engagements of the Classic City Band are subject to the Band Board’s review and the band-at-large’s approval. Contracts are required for all engagements, and minimum donations for concerts is expected. Out of town engagements require a larger donation.
The Classic City Band also features small ensembles in performance: European Polka band, clarinet choir, brass ensembles and the Classic City Swing. With notice, the band is happy to provide special music for organizations and events. Donation fees are requested at the time of booking.
The European Polka Band, formed In the fall of 2007 under the management of Jim Heyl, is available to perform for churches, retirement centers and other special events, upon request and pending availability of musicians. Contact Jim Heyl at 706 543 1124.
The Swing Band, formed in the summer of 2006, operates and schedules independently of the Classic City Band. Contact Herb Meyer at 706-549-8533 for scheduling.
All ensembles and the Classic City Band perform on demand for organizations and civic events. Inquiries may be made through any band member, though booking requires full band board and band-at-large approval and includes contractual arrangements. Initial contact for a booking date for any ensemble or the concert band may be made by calling Herb Meyer at 706-380-3878 or Tom Cooper at 706-546-8426.
